Anniversary Photo Shoot!

I hate having my picture taken. I am always on the other side of the lens and I am quite happy there. However, I have come to realize that if I don't have my picture taken sometimes, my children wont have any proof that I existed when they were young. Sooooo, for our 4th anniversary my dear, sweet BFF took some photos of us in downtown McKinney. It was HOT outside, so we look lik ewe are melting in some. Thanks a ton for doing this for us...

Here is what you are going to get for the next 5 years!!

Who would have thunk?

Through His Eyes

A while back I entered this photograph in a contest and totally forgot about it. Yesterday I found out that it made it to the semi-finals and it is going to be published in their hard bound coffee table book. The name of the book is "Endless Journeys" I was really surprised, they are also featuring the photographers. How cool is that?!!

Now just cross your fingers we make it to the finals!!! :)

18 days people!!! I know, how shallow to post about an upcoming vacation, but man am I looking forward to the trip. I need a break really bad and the clock is ticking. Conan can't quite understand why I get to ride on a boat and he doesn't, but don't worry I did promise him a boat ride of some sorts!

Whew, life has been rather busy lately. The photography business has really picked up and man I am LOVING it. I have had some great experiences with the families and love being a photographer!! Every time I finish up with a client and give them the pictures, their response just solidifies that I am doing exactly what I need to be doing.

(The Holidays will be here before you know it and I am running a special for Christmas Photo cards. E-mail me if you are interested!!)
(This post was totally not intended to solicit myself, sometimes that just happens)

An Amazing Photoshoot

I had the opportunity to take pictures of a growing family. They already have two beautiful daughters and one more on the way. I even got a boat ride! Thanks for letting me photograph this special time in your lives.

Random Happenings

After some fun at the pizza place with A and her family, this is what my son entertains himself with in the back seat on the way home. He was a sticky mess!

Chris and Conan were watering the plants tonight and I caught a really great pic of my hubby. This is rare, you see he hates to have his picture taken and will only smile if something is truly funny. (He was looking at me when I took the picture...humm)

Anniversary Part one

This was the first part of our anniversary celebration. We went to dinner and drove around looking at model homes. In 4 weeks we are taking a week long cruise to Mexico!!!
This will be the first cruise for both of us and I am stoked!
1. The first picture is us relaxing after our date....can't you tell by our sleepy eyes.
2. The second picture is of the 18 roses Chris brought me.

Love is in the air!

Four years have come and gone. So quickly have they passed with such ease and happiness. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. I have grown to love and appreciate the man I married. We have adjusted to being a couple and embraced parenthood with open arms. What a special journey we have undertaken to be one, share our life and raise our children. Today is much different than the day I married Christopher 4 years ago. Christopher has brought the very best out in me and continues to uplift and support my dreams as crazy as they are sometimes. Never once has he allowed me to doubt myself or think I couldn’t do what I set out to accomplish. How rare and awesome is that? Last night as I was lying in bed, I tried to imagine what my life would be without him and I found myself struggling to breath. Just the thought of taking a single breath without him was more than I wanted to think about. This post may sound cheesy and mushy in a young lovers sort of way, but bottom line, Chris is in my life for a reason. He is my strength, my laughter, my tears, my joy, my legacy, my love, my happiness and my future. So many people told me that once you’re married everything changes, and yes that is true, It just gets better. No one else gets me like he does. That look that crosses over our faces when we are thinking the same thing or when our son makes us laugh and we look to each other in that proud moment, nothing compares to that. I love him like I love no other and I can’t believe I was so luck to have found him!

The words, “I love you” so simple, but so powerful.

I love you Christopher.
