Hum??
I have been on the computer a lot lately. I am working on a project that has to be done tomorrow. So, needless to say, my son thinks the office is a very evil place. I try and set him up something to do in his room to keep him occupied. Yesterday I got out the manipulations for him to put together. After about 10 min. I go back in his room to check on him and he has successfully sorted them all by color. Oh it gets better! After clapping and praising him, I return yet again to find them stacked in an almost complete rainbow. HOLY COW!! This really got me excited.
Then, after that got old, he came out and lined all his cars up on the office window ledge. That did not get the same reaction as the last because the kid lines the cars up everywhere, ALL THE TIME! Anyway, I was really proud of him.
(See pictures below)
At the pool
Angela and Mak Mak came over for dinner and a swim the other night. Mak Mak turned out to be a little fish. She would go under the water and everything. I sure wish Conan was a little more brave in the water department. I figure if we keep taking him and making him play in the water he will eventually get used to it.

The rest is still unwritten..
I'm just beginning,
the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your innovations
Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten"
by Natasha Bedingfield
I wonder if I get a little carried away sometimes when I look at all the pictures I take. I have often asked myself, "is this really important?" But, when I happen to capture a picture like the one above, it tells a story all of its own. His life is UNWRITTEN. He can be who and what he wants to be. He gets to make the marks on his blank pages. How awesome is that! Sometimes I can't believe how in love I am with such a tiny person and how much I feel since he was born.
I hope I never stop taking pictures and capturing bits of his life for his book!

What he does best...

We have been very busy lately and this is my attempt to catch up.
Lets see: Conan and I spent the first weekend in Wyoming celebrating my sister, Alissa's 16th birthday. Alissa and I got to hang out a little bit and I enjoyed getting to know her better. I have now decided that even though Conan is only 19 months, at 30 lbs he needs his own plane seat! I am sure it was comical watching me manhandle the poor little guy. We had to change planes in Denver and ended up on a much smaller plane, that was way more bumpy. Good sign that the kid might get sick. Conan tapped my hand and said "Mama," I looked over and from his mouth pored the contents of the day, and lots of it. I helplessly turned to the flight attendant and asked her what I should do, and she looked at me like I was an idiot and handed me a barf bag. HELLO, he just threw up. What a dork. The nice man behind me helped me clean everything up. On the way home, I drugged him up and he slept all the way home.
I got to see my grandparents that I had not seen in 16 years. It was great visiting with them and catching. My uncle and his two boys also came and they were so sweet. Dad has 4 dogs, 2 acres and all the room a little boy could ever what. Needless to say, Conan was in heaven, running around chasing the puppies. My Dad taught him to say "no no puppies, no barking" now anytime he hears a dog that is what come out of his mouth. Very cute!
We had a great visit and being there reminded me how nice Wyoming summers can be. Cool in the evenings and warm during the day, just about perfect.
After we got home, I spent the week studying for my content test and getting my house ready for company. It was very hectic and went by quickly. Saturday I got up early and headed to Irving to take my test. The first 50 questions went great, it felt like I absolutely knew the answers, then it just went down hill from there. The questions just got harder and harder. I told Chris that I would not be surprised if I failed or passed. Just pray I passed so I don't have to take it again.
Chris picked Mom and the kids up from the airport while I was taking my test. We met for lunch and then headed home. We had a very busy week. We hung out at our pool, went to hurricane harbor, ate out, cooked, played games, went to the mall, saw the movie, Cars, went to Gatti Town in Frisco, took Mom to IKEA, laugh a lot and tried to forget that we had to tell each other goodbye at the end of the week. Luanne and her girls came down for a couple of days. She was here trying to sell her puppies at trade days. We had fun with them as well.
On Tuesday Cassy came down, a few of her friends gave her a going away party and I kept Rylee-Kate. On Wednesday she went to lunch and the movies with us. Cassy is moving to Kuwait and this was going to be her final goodbye. Lots of tears were shed and it was hard to see them off. She will be gone a year, and I will miss them both. I hope them all the best. Thank goodness for blogger, right.
Saturday came way to fast and we were up and on our way to the airport to say goodbye yet again. I am not good at goodbyes. I will miss them all and count the days until I can see them again. We made some great memories last week and they will make me smile for weeks to come! Kendie wrote me a song, it is incredible. She is so sweet and so talented. Joe dunked me in the pool, and I still have to get him back....watch out little bro!!!! Mom, thanks for everything, I mean it.
Conan and I took a 3 hour nap Saturday afternoon.
Sunday we went to church and lunch. Angela kept Conan for us and we took Chris to see X-Men 3. She met us for dinner and then we came home to watch the Mavs game. The kids got Chris some UFC stuff and we had a good day with him. He is a great father and I am glad the kids have him. I am happy to have him as well.
Life will resume its normal state of boringness. I hope to have pictures soon.

I can SEE
I finally went and had my Lasik enhancement on Tuesday. Debbie and Cole took very good care of me while I was in Stillwater. Cole was awesome to take me to my appointment and drive me home. Debbie made me the best ruben sandwich I have ever eaten!
Thanks guys for always making me feel like family.
Love,
Katie
