Good luck girlie

Taylor has Showstopper tryouts this Thursday. Joy is giving her lessons which is super nice and really helpful.

Just wanted to wish her luck!

Ready for Church

Just chilling after Mom put my shoes on.

Passing the time with a little nose picking.

If I cover my eyes, I'm not here, right?

Wanna bet?

Painting with Mom

I have decided to do more "art" with Conan.
He loves to paint and was so proud of his picture. He made sure everyone saw it and knew that he painted it!
I of course, think he is the next Monet, but you know.

WWI

Here is my official Wednesday Weigh In.
Last week 162
This week: 161

Only one pound, but I will take it.

I know I have lost inches because of how my clothes fit. I guess I should really take measurements and keep track that was as well.

I think I just might.

Playdough and "Poppy" cicles

Nothing is better than playing with your best friend.
Mak came over the other day and the kids had fun eating "poppy" cicles, as Conan calls them, and playing with playdough.
Suggestion: Buy the all fruit lime flavor popcicles, and you will get some great sour faces.

Nana and the Kids

I guess you just need a Nana to show them how to read books not eat them.
Conan and Taylor had a great time when my Mom was here. She plays hard with them and they always have a blast. It is really nice to get to be able to go away for a while and know that they are safe, happy, and having a good time. The kids probably wish I we would stay gone longer.
Thanks Mom, I really appreciate it!

Read it-don't eat it!

Story time with Nana
I really like this picture of them.

3rd Anniversary Trip

Finally I can get some pictures posted.
Chris and I went to Arlington for our 3rd anniversary. No it was not some far off exotic vacation, but we had a blast. My Mom came in from Florida to watch the kids for us. We went to church and lunch and then headed out. Chris took me to the Dallas Museum of Art. It was so cool to walk around and see first hand some amazing pieces. It is refreshing to see works in person and not just in a text book. I wore the wrong shoes and we had to bum some band aids from the security guard. I really appreciated Chris taking me and sharing in my excitement, we enjoyed the museum kid-kid free!
After the museum, we went to Texas De Brazil. YUMMY!!!
Everyone should go at least once.
After dinner we went to the movies and watched Talladega Nights.
The next day, after a breakfast at IHOP, we went to Six Flags. It was not very crowded and the sky was overcast- perfect amusement park conditions. Mid afternoon some storm clouds came in and due to the lightening they had to shut down most of the rides. We rode one more roller coaster and then we decided to leave and go eat dinner. We ate at Papasitos. Muy Bien!
We wanted to take every kid free opportunity and decided to watch another movie, no make that two more movies. We watched Lady in the Water and The Descent.
We came home the next morning and I took my Mom to the airport.
We had a great time and I look forward to many more. Thanks Honey!

Girls Night Out

Thank you A and R for a great dinner and movie.

I would recommend to everyone to rush out and go see Little Miss Sunshine.
The movie was so good. I was not really expecting much, but it ended up being one of the best movies I have seen so far this year.

My son is testing me. I want an easy button. Anyone have an extra?

Debbie and Cole are here for a short visit and I think we are going to go see Pulse tonight. I will let you know how it is.

I really wish blogger would let me post pictures. I see that other people can upload them. Why can't I? Am I doing something wrong?

type at you later.

Ramblings

If blogger does not let me upload pictures soon, I am switching.

What I am supposed to think of my 21 month old when I put him down for the night and he screams for 10 minutes because he wants to stay up and watch the UFC fight? "fight mama, Nonan watch fight." Ok, but if I let him watch he better make some good money one day. It was actually pretty funny. He shouts "ouch, ouch" the whole time they are fighting.

Taylor started 8th grade on Monday. She is taking all pre-AP classes and they really hit the ground running. She had homework every night and quizzes in every class today. She also started soccer and will start voice lessons soon.

Chris starts school on the 24th, which means our lives are about to get hectic. Good times!

We started attending a new Church here in McKinney. They have a great youth program we hope to get both kids involved in.

I am still looking for a job. Pretty tired of the hunt. Anyone know of anything, help a sister out.

I sort of feel like I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing. I would have loved to have found a teaching position. I really want to do graphic design work, just not sure right now what is the best thing. I guess if I am patient things will fall into place.

I would love to share some photos that I took on our anniversary trip, however, blogger is being a brat. Hopefully soon.

Sorry this was so random.

Baby Jake

Please keep baby Jake in your thoughts tomorrow. He is having some outpatient surgeries in the morning and his Mama is a little stressed out.

Good luck little guy!

Conan says get better quick!

Offical Wednesday Weigh In

Hopefully this next week I will lose some more.

New Goal

I have decided to post here about losing weight. I think that if I write it down it will help hold me accountable. "They" say the healthy way to lose weight is a pound a week. (That really bites, but o-well) 2 weeks ago, Chris and I started working out again. We go to the gym 5 days a week and rest 2. I have reduced my caloric intake and I am drinking lots of water. Pretty soon I plan to cut out diet soda completely.

I plan to have a Wednesday weigh in with an update on progress. My goal is to lose 25lbs by Christmas.

2 weeks ago I weighed 165.
Today I weigh 161.

Here goes.

3 Happy Years

How do I begin to tell you how lucky I am to have you in my life?
I'll start by saying what an honor it is
for me to be your wife.
You're my best friend in the good times
and my rock in times of sorrow.
You're the reason for sweet yesterdays
and my promise for tomorrow.
I never thought I could feel this loved
until I became your wife.
You made this year and every year
the best one of my life.

I was thinking the other day, when I realized that I have been married three years today. What a wonderful thing I have had for the last three years. Chris and I have grown so much as people and as a couple. I would not trade any second for anything. I lay in bed every night beside a man who cares so much about his family that sometimes I feel like I don’t deserve it.

When we first started dating and talking about getting married I wondered if one day I would wake up and that feeling of being “in love” would be gone. I used to imagine what it would be like to not feel the flip in my stomach when he called or the rush I got when he walked in the door. Christopher calls me everyday at lunch from work. I cherish that one simple phone call so much. I know, sounds cheesy, but I told myself before we got married that I would always try and appreciate the small things.

There have been days when it feels like the sun isn’t shining but I always know that he is right there behind the cloud waiting for me, loving me, unconditionally-all the time. How do you tell someone thank you for that? I don’t know, but I get to spend the rest of my life trying.
Now off to Six Flags for some roller coaster fun!!! Whoo Hoo.

101 things you love about someone else.

Pick someone you love and see if you can come up with 101 things you LOVE about them.

I am working on mine and hope to have it up soon. I would love for everyone to participate and let me know when you are done so I can read them!

Good luck.
