Christmas 2007!

All I can say is THANK YOU SANTA!! We all got what we wanted and then some. I was so shocked to see this sitting by the tree when we got up! Christopher is the best at surprising me with the best gifts. I have been wanting an acoustic guitar for a long time, and well...now I have one. Conan got his Knight Armor and Taylor got her Chi...and the big kid got his Rock Band. Not really fair because we have all had a blast playing it together. That game is totally addicting:) We had a great visit with Granny and Cole and Corey came over as well.

Hope everyone else had a great, wonderful, excited, happy, merry, Need to go on a diet holiday!

Fashion might be an understatement. The person with the best, most creative display of their PJ's won! Ummm Cole, think you might have done it this time. He we are with all our Pj glory.

This would be Chris rolling the pant legs of Corey's PJ's.

Zen space...almost

Now that I have the website up and running. I have been trying to get my physical workspace, cleaned and organized. I have a long way to go but I thought I would share where I spend most of my time trying to feed my family. I love coming in here with my hot apple cider and editing a session. There is something so comforting about doing it in my own home at whatever hour I choose. I am going to keep focusing on the positive and get through these cold winter months so I can hit the ground running when Spring hits. However, I must say that I shot on Saturday (nearly frostbit my fingers) and it was a blast. The pictures are so cute with there cheeks all red and rosy.

Just because you can.

Life has been moving at a rather rapid pace as of lately. Seems like it is hard to take a deep breath. Now, I am not complaining, just stating the facts. We have actually been having a good ol' holiday time! Chris and I have gone Christmas shopping, watched movies, baked, decorated, worked, slept, played outside and we are having a blast teaching Conan all about Santa. He is so excited that it makes it hard for me to wait as well. Oh the joys of having kids :) I have been craving egg drop soup and Cream Soda like nobody's noise. I can't get enough of the stuff. Conan asks me if that is my soda pop.

I have a list of things that I keep wanting to blog about and now that I am sitting here all ready to go...all I can think about is a dear sweet friend that has lost someone. Death is a wicked thing. It is something that I don't understand. Not so much the dying but the people who are left to pick up the pieces. My heart is heavy and I wish there was something tangible I could do to make the hurt softer in some way. I can't. It hurts. I love you CF. It has been hard this week trying to be all happy and festive knowing that there are people out there who would give anything just to hold that one person one last time for one last second. I think my husband might think I am having security issues. Every time he is near, I grab him up and hug the hell out of him. I don't want him to ever doubt how much I love him. I think this has shown me how quickly life can change and to live as if you were dying. Please everyone, what could possible be so bad that you can't pick up the phone and tell your Mom, daughter, son, sister, brother, friend, husband, grandparent, that you love them. We might just be the next one to get the phone call telling us that person is dead.

Hug your children extra tight tonight and whisper one more "I love you" just because you can.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Conan loves the big guy this year!!! Actually he is making me pretty excited as well. Seeing everything through his eyes makes you appreciate all the small things. He asked Santa for Knight armor and a Knight sword. :)

I took him to see Santa with a playgroup we are a part of and then afterwards we took them to ride the train. All the little boys crammed into one train car and giggled non-stop. It was priceless. They had so much fun.

...as visions of sugar plums dance through his head!

Okay, so the holiday season is starting to really get to me. I have taught Conan all the Christmas songs and we are watching 25 days of Christmas on ABC family! I love it. I bought a gingerbread house kit and we crated a sweet little morsel of "Christmasie" goodness. I thought we did pretty good seeing how Conan only ate about half of the candy intended for the house but o-well, thats what its about? right! :)

It is super cold today so I think Conan and I are going to snuggle up and play inside this afternoon, maybe make some hot chocolate and then tonight Chris and I are going Christmas shopping without the kids. I can't wait!

Have a good one y'all.

Tis' the season...already!

Our annual Christmas tree decoration event. Yes, I was in my pj's, and it felt great. Conan really liked hanging the ornaments and everyone had a "special" place. I can't believe that we have a Christmas tree again. I know I keep talking about how fast time seems to be going, but please slow down just a bit. I am not ready to send my kids to college yet. :)

We are going to really try and savor every day this month. We are watching Christmas movies, baking, shopping, singing, dancing and eating!

Happy Holiday season everyone!!!!!
