What changes a year can bring

Our kids are getting so big!
The first picture was today, May 26, 2006.
The second picture was taken a year ago.
I will say they enjoyed this years inflatable pool excurision much more than last year. At least this year they can say the word water. I had a blast watching them play and couldn't help myself and ended up in there as well. WHAT FUN!!! I am glad summer is here.

Celebration Park

Woo Hoo! We had a great time at the water park today. It was nice and hot, and man did the sunshine feel good. Conan and Rylee were tired of being at home so we packed up the sunscreen, bathing suits, and beach towles and hit the park. They were so worn out they were asleep before we even left the parking lot. Kami was so sweet to send me a few pictures she took today, thanks for always having your camera-you rock!

life is sweet

Conan "helped" his dad fix the truck this weekend. It was really hot and we could not stay out very long.

I am keeping Rylee-Kate all week and I took this picture last night while she was taking a bath. She is so smart and really funny. She cracks me up all the time.

Cutie Pie

Angela got this ring for Mother's Day. It looks so sweet on Mak's little foot.

Is she not the sweetest thing? I was lucky enough to get to take Mak Mak's 18 month pictures this weekend. I had to take a bizzillion just to get a few good ones. I love following her around snaping away. She is very sweet and I hope her parents are happy with the reseults!

Slow down life, just for a little while

Just a few pictures of the kid. We have been super busy and it does not look like things are going to slow down any time soon. I only have 3 weeks before I take my content test. In the mean time, I am going to stillwater to have my eyes done, and to Wyoming for Alissa's 16th birthday, and then the week before my mom gets here I have to make sure the house is all nice and tidy, and in the mean time look for a teaching job. O-well, I would much rather be busy than bored. Wait, who is ever bored with a toddler?

Mother's Day weekend

I had a great Mother's day!

Conan and Granny had fun swinging on Uncle Corey's front porch swing.

Here is Debbie with her boys.
...and my Mom's Day gift, a new Brighton wallet. You guys did great. Thanks so much.

Splish Splash I was taking a Bath!

Bath time was a hoot last night. Chris made Conan lots of bubbles and made Conan laugh really hard. It was so cute to see him giggle like that. It was pretty funny seeing Chris get him to laugh too. Conan loves taking a bath until I wash his hair, then he gets fussy and wants out of the tub.
His first week of school went better than I thought. He cried the first day all morning and then the next day only when I dropped him off. Today he did not even wimper or say my name. I am happy that he is not sad, and I am sad that he did not even say my name. O-well, seeing his little face light up when I pick him up, is the best ever!
We are off to Stillwater tonight after Taylor's Pop show at school. This is the last choir program of the year.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Here is the formal picture of us with James. He is a great entertainer and person as well.
Thanks again Anglea for sharing James with me, and you you owe me big time for letting you stand by him. :)
Please ignore my big tummy---no I am NOT pregnant!

James Blunt

James Blunt is a very humble and chrming man. Angela and I went to the Kiss fm meet and great with JB this morning. After 1.5 hours of sleep, the night before, the quiet intimate setting was so nice. It capped off a very nice weekend. The Austin concert was so awesome. It was an outside venue and the weather turned out just perfect. A and I got front row spots, I'm talking close, we were leaning on the stage. James and Beardy shook our hands during the show. James seemed to be in a great mood and the concert was perfect.
After the show A and I headed home for a quick nap and breakfast at 7:00am sharp. We were able to watch the Kid Kradic show live and soon James made his apperance for a quick interview. After that we headed inside for a short performance. James sang High and You're Beautiful. Seeing him live adds so much to the song. Angela was able to ask him a question and we got to take a group picture with him. Tonight A and I will see him in Dallas and then he is off to California. Thanks so much A for introducing me to JB. I love his music and I think he is a great preson and thank you honey, for puttin up with me--you are the best!

This is what i feel like doing :)

I really wish I could just curl up in a plastic wagon, take a snooze, and forget about life....just for a little while. I am tired. The last few weeks have been really hard. This is not a gripe seccion, just a release for me. You do not have to keep reading.
I feel so much older than I am. This really bothers me. I know the saying goes, "you're only as old as you act," but good grief. After I had Conan I suffered several really BAD days of depression. It seems like lately I have been feeling a less intense version of that depression but it is still pretty yucky. I know Conan can feel it as well because he has been super cranky and clingly to me. Maybe he knows that on Monday he will be going to school for the first time. I will not even be the one to drop him off. Chris is going to do it because I have to be somewhere at 7:00am. I have not even thought about how I will feel come Monday. I am praying that he will be just fine and when I go to pick him up, everything will be ok. I am sorry sweet boy if you are sad, get hurt, or need me to hold you, remember I am always thinking about you.
I have cried more tears these last two weeks than I have in a long time. I am ready for the sun to come out and wash the dark clouds away. One of my most favorite songs is "Here comes the sun" by the Beatles. Chris and I walked backed down the isle as husband and wife to that song on our wedding day. I can't help but smile when I hear that song.
Not everything has been storm clouds and rain. My poor is me , spill is over, now time for some happy thoughts. Saturday night Angela and I head out to Austin to the James Blunt concert and then on Monday morning at 7:00am Angela and I will be eating a lovely breakfast with the one and only James Blunt himself. Of course, we will be exahsted, from the drive home the night before, but what is a few missed hours of sleep to see JB? We are really excited! Angela and I met Rebecca and Marie and her sister at El Chicos last night to meet before the concert. Rebecca posted some pics of the evening if you are intersted.
Saturday is Taylor's last soccer game of the season. If the Lady Sharks win I think we get 3rd place. GO TEAM! Next weekend we head up to Stillwater to see the family and celebrate Debbie's birthday and Mother's Day. Chris has a final on Friday and then this semester from hell is OVER. Can I get a Whoo Hoo!!!! I hope we can enjoy the summer together as a family.
It is comforting to know that things always get better, all you need is a little time! Hope everyone has a great weekend. Enjoy every minuet of it, I know I am going to.

I'm very proud of you honey!

I wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of my Christopher. He has accomplished so many wonderful things and I know he would be embarrased if I wrote a long and lengthy spill about him.
I just wanted the world to know that I love you and I am so glad you picked me.

Weekend

My Dad came for a visit this weekend. He lives in Wyoming and came a long way to see us. Conan and I picked him up from the airport on Thursday morning. We went to lunch with Chris and hung out at the house the rest of the afternoon. On Friday we visited, ate lunch, and hung out some more. Conan took to him right away and followed him around saying, "Papa, Papa" it was pretty cute. Anytime my Dad went outside, Conan was right there beside him. On Friday afternoon, it rained and Dad took Conan out in the rain to play. They ran from the porch to the back fence over and over again. Conan loved it and wanted "more water" all weekend. Saturday we went to Ft. Worth to see Cassy, Rylee-Kate and their new family member, Missy, the cutest little puppy ever! Rylee-Kate is so sweet with her and Missy follows her everwhere around. Sunday we introduced my Dad to IKEA. We looked around for a while and then headed over to Frisco Thai for a yummy lunch. Dad left this morning and Conan kept looking out the back door with a "where'd go."
