For My Sister on her Birthday...on the 30th

This is for my sister for her birthday. She lives in Kuwait with her baby girl. We miss them something fierce. I wish the best for both of them.
(The words are a verse from Martina McBride's In My Daughter's Eyes )

Cassy, this is coming in the mail.

Thanks TIK and LTIK

Took me about 30 min before I could take this picture due to the tears streaming down my face.
I opened the box and saw the plate and immediately started crying..no wait, sobbing.

I heart you both!

Random Update.

Mother's Day

What a great day! Here I am with my new super duper flash! I was very surprised to open this one. Conan met me at the door with flowers and a big "Happy Mother's Day, Mom" Taylor gave me a gift certificate to get our nails done and Chris and Conan got me the flash. I lost it when I opened Conan's card and it was signed ccc. Don't ask me why but that really tugged at my heart strings. Maybe because whenever I write something on my calendar that has to do with him I use ccc, or maybe because I call him "triple c" Man, I love being a mother!

IKEA finger puppets, who knew? The boy loves them....I hate them. You can only put 7 mini puppets on 7 mini fingers so many times in one day that you start to go batty.

While I was out of town Chris set the tent up in the backyard and let Conan play in it. (btw, he always has the batman mask on these days)

I think the scooter my Mom bought Conan for Christmas was the most used present he got!

My first Muffins with Mom! Angela and I had muffins with the kids at their school. Yeah it was great....NOT. Conan cried the whole time I was there. That really makes you feel nice and loved. Not sure what the dealio was but he was not a happy camper, however, when I picked him up for out Friday lunch date he was just peachy, go figure.

1st baseball lesson

Wow, our first baseball lesson. Conan did pretty good. Missed the ball quite a bit but he gets the concept pretty well. Chris is a very patient teacher. I am having a girls weekend and they have big plans. They are going to put up the tent in the backyard and "camp out" I think it is totally precious. We took Conan to see Spiderman 3 last Sunday and he loved it! Granted he slept for a bout an hour but while he was awake he was pretty good. At one point during the movie after Spiderman saves the girl, Conan shouts during a quiet moment, "Mom Spiderman saved the girl!" that got a few chuckles along with the Arrr's Conan repeated during the previews to Pirates of the Caribbean. I think are movie days are upon us, which is a good thing seeing how we like us some movies!

Myspace

.....away from home. This is where I spend my days.

Cherry Chip Memories

Conan and I made cupcakes the other night for his class. I REALLY like to bake, but I can't eat any of it so I have to make excuses and find places to get rid of it. Conan's school and my work are just perfect. The cupcakes were a hit and Conan has a request to make some more.

You can not buy cherry chips here in the south, oh no...believe me i have tried to find them. So my awesome aunt Vicky sends them to me every year at Christmas time. I do not get to see my aunts and uncles very often, or speak with them, but every time I open the cabinet and see the cherry chips I think of them.

I'll take an Island or two please!

After a day/week like this I could really spend some time in her home town.

This doll sits on one of my co-workers desk, so I took some pics of her.

Soccer tot from the side lines

Let me just set the stage for you. Its HOT, like 90 degrees. No shade. and we have been out in the heat for over an hour. Yes, my 2 year old has had enough and is begging to go home. In an attempt to entertain himself he starts playing with the soccer ball we brought for him. Chris is watching Taylor play, I have my camera out trying to get some decent shots and Conan is....well, not really sure until we turn around and he is scoring a goal for the 4 year old all girl team in pink! I yelp at Chris to grab him quick. Thank goodness it is just Rec ball or we would have had some serious crap thrown at us by some angry parents. In fact the exact opposite happened. He got cheered on, by the 4 year old team and the parents of Taylor's team.

Not that I am biased or anything but the kid did look pretty good making that goal! Anyway, here are some pics of one cranky, over heated, stubborn 2 year old.

Not really sure why I make him wear a hat because he always turns in around backwards.

Yes, picking a wedgie. Good times.
