Life, or something like it.

My poor husband. Chris woke up Sunday doubled over in back pain. He could barley move it hurt so bad. Yesterday was also the day Conan decided to test my patients to the max. Nothing made him happy and everything made him mad. I really hope this stage is over quickly. One more reason I want to go back to work. Conan goes to school and that will keep him busy.
Chris went to work but is looking for a chiropractor to see today.

Nothing really exciting happening, just busy with everyday life stuff.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Pretty boring here

I am sick yet again. Fun times.

I have been scrapbook like crazy trying to catch up on Taylor's book before she turns 14, Conan's before he turns 2 and mine before my 3rd anniversary. ( I started a book for Chris and I that is just of our wedding, honeymoon, and each anniversary) This is not easy for me. I am so picky and meticulous with every page that I end up spending way too much time on each one. I did, however, make some good progress this weekend. I really enjoyed working on the pages and I had forgotten how relaxing and fun it can be. My art table is a mess and I need to make a trip to Recollections for some new supplies. I don't go very often because I tend to get a little carried away! KWIM.

My Mom will be here on the second to stay for a few days. She is going to watch the kids while Chris and I celebrate our anniversary. We are not doing anything spectacular, however, we are going do go to Six Flags to ride all the rides all day long.....with no kids. SWEET! I have not been to an amusement park in 3 years. I am really excited. We will stay a couple of nights and then head back to spend time with Mom.

That is about all. Oh-I guess I am looking for a job as well. Wish me luck.

No job

Well, I will not be working at Frisco High School. It is ok. I sulked yesterday, but today is a new day with new opportunities. I have to believe there is something better waiting for me around the corner.

Thanks everyone for your prayers, and positive thoughts. They were greatly appreciated.

Positive thoughts people!

On Monday, Chris, Conan and I went to Memphis to pick up Taylor. 7 hours up, 7 hours back. Not the most fun but we survived. Taylor is home now and trying to catch up on some missed sleep and Conan is trying to drive me crazy! He is the busiest little boy I have ever seen. My Mom tells me I was just as busy, but I'm not sure if I believe her :)
On the way home from Memphis, The Vice Principle from Frisco High School called and asked if I was interested in teaching art 1. HELLO! Of course. I have an interview tomorrow at 2:30. Thanks to the wonderful wisdom of Copwife, I feel better about walking into my first potential job as a teacher. I am a bit overwhelmed with everything. It feels like it is happening so fast and I feel so lost, but oh so excited! I guess you have to start somewhere. Going back to work means that Conan will official start school in August. Listen to me talk like it is a done deal. (slow down, Katie, get through the interview first.) I think school will be very good for little mister. It will keep his body and mind occupied---all the time. Even though I think he is ready for school, the thought of me not being with him all day makes me very sad. I rocked my baby to sleep for his nap today-just because I could. He will be 2 in 3 months. Did you hear me? 3 months. Ok Angie, time to start the party planning!
Chris is about to start school as well. Yippee, NOT. Each semester brings us that much closer to the end. A big fat PhD! Go baby!
I guess that is enough of me rambling. Life has been busy and I see it only getting busier.
After Conan's nap today we had a little Mommy and me art. Or should I say I visited my art therapist. I do feel rather refreshed. We are going swimming after dinner tonight. Boy will that feel good.

Sick

Well it looks as if Conan is sick. He threw up at school today 5 times. Poor baby. I was in class, where cell phones are not permitted, and Chris was in the lab, working, so they did not get a hold of us untill 10:00. I feel so bad for the little guy. I bet he just wanted to come home. He is sleeping now and hopefully he will take a good long nap and wake up ready to eat something.

I am off to clean house. Exciting, I know.

Come home soon.

"Where'd Taylor" Conan keeps asking me where she's at. He even knocked on her door the other night and told her to come on. Taylor has spent the last week and a half at her Mothers in Kentucky. They went to the beach for a few days and I think they had a good time. I have not gotten to talk to her much so I don't have a lot of details. I took these picture the other day and thought they came out cute. We miss her and hope she is having a good time. I know Conan will be super happy to have her back!

A GREAT birthday!

A birthday gone good. I was really dreading my birthday because of how I felt last year. Turning 25 was really hard. There was just something about being 25 and out of my early twenties, that was depressing. However, this year was different. Turning 26 just wasn't so bad.
On Wednesday, Angela surprised me with gifts and cheesecake. We pigged out on dessert and watched a movie. She is so awesome. She got me a James Avery star pendant and a great photo album to collect all our adventures together.
The next day Christopher made me my favorite meal for dinner. He would not let me help at all. He made Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and biscuits. All from scratch. I was in heaven. Conan got me a chain for the star pendant, and Chris got me the Hawaiian CD I wanted. Earlier that day the most gorgeous plant came from my mother. I got Happy Birthday phone calls from Dad, Cassy, Mom and the kids, and Debbie.
I feel so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life.
Friday Chris and I went to Carabbas for dinner and then we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. It was a really good movie, just really long!
Every year Chris and I get a picture taken outside the front door before we leave for dinner. Below is this years pic. If you look close you can see the necklace I received.
Thanks everyone for sharing this special day with me and making me feel so loved!
