Weekend up-date
We had a very nice and relaxing weekend. I am sad it is over. Saturday, we got up early to get Taylor to her 8:30 soccer game. Her team won and it was a really fun game. The weather was absolutley beautiful and Conan enjoyed being outside. Every weekend we take turn choosing were we get to eat out. This was Taylor's week to pick and she chose a Japanese sushi place. We shared chicken fried rice, shrip tempura, miso soup, and 3 different rolls. YUMMY! After we got home, Chris, Conan and I took a 3 hour nap. Boy did that feel good. After we ate, Angela dropped Mak off and she got to play with us for a while. The kids had a good time. Sunday we ate at Pei Wei and after that Taylor went to babysit and me and Angela went to the mall with the kids while Chris stayed home and studied. (Oh-I bought Conan's 18month outfit for his pictures I am going to take this week) Super cute! -A- helped me pick it out. She is also super sweet to let me use her kick-butt camera. I feel so lucky, and a little green to ;) I will post pics as soon as I get them.
I have to take my content test for my teaching certificate on June 10th. That means I have a month to study and prepare. My blogging may slow down for a while, but I will try to post as much as I can. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

When I grow up....
I guess I'll be a teacher. So here starts the beginning of yet another adventure. Why is it that I can not make up my mind as to what I want to be when I grow up. Or maybe the question should be, will I ever grow up? Who says you have to be one thing all the time? Why can't I be anything and everything that sparks my interest. I have a perfectly good degree in something I absolutley love, but can't seem to find the right opportunity to use it. (well, use it to make any type of decent income) I really enjoy the freelance jobs I have been working on. Thanks to the Moms I have met online, and their ever growing children, who just happen to have birthdays every year and NEED me to design some kick butt invitations, I have managed to stay busy.
So why the need to become a teacher, spend more money and time I really don't have? I guess because I have always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. My mother tells me I used to "teach" my teddy bears and baby dolls in my room. Up until my Sophomore year in High School I was going to be a teacher. Art is my passion for sure, it always will be. I will continue to embrace and instill an appreciation for art in my own children, now I have been given the opportunity to do the same for people I have never met. For once, in a long time I am truly excited about teaching, and I get to teach ART!!!
I have been struggling with myself and the need to feel like I am contributing in some form or fashion for a while now. Don't get me wrong, I love staying home with my son and being home when Taylor gets out of school. That has always been important to me and still is. I treasure the time I have with Conan. I am also terrified of the first day I have to leave my baby in the arms of another person. Chris has always been super supportive of me and anything I have ever done or wanted to try. He has never pressured me to go out and get a job, he just wants me to be happy. Bottom line-I think teaching WILL make me happy. (we'll find out, won't we)
I am excited for the future. Who know what I will be doing 3 years from now, but my hope is that I will have made a difference, no matter how small, in someones life. I am humbled.
Thansk for listening and supporting---you know who you are:)

More black and white
I keep messing around with black and white...I like it a lot.
Look at my baby's eyes! Someone told me one time that he had very soulful eyes. Not exactly sure what they meant by that but it seems to fit. The picture of Rylee as Batman just cracks me up. She loves wearing that mask at my house, Conan wont even let me put it on him.

Easter part 1
Happy happy Easter from all of us to you, happy happy Easter we hope you had fun to! All the excitement I was building up paid off. I don't know about the kids but I had a really good time. I love playing the Easter bunny and seeing the kids get so excited. I enjoyed using my kitchen aid and put it to good use. I baked all day Friday, and ate all weekend. Back to the gym this week...right Angela? ;)
My mother in law, Debbie and my Brother in law, Cole came down from Stillwater and hung out with us. All the kids love Granny, and so do I. I am super glad they came. Cassy and Rylee spent the day with us. Unfortunately Rylee spent the morning throwing up, but felt well enough to hunt eggs later that day.
My best friend, Angela, her husband and Mak Mak came over to hunt eggs with us that Taylor and Chris hid. They were so adorable looking for the eggs. When Conan realized that there was something inside the eggs, it took me a while to convince him he still needed to find more eggs. Gosh, I love being a mom and all the fun things you get to do with your kids!
I think everyone was completely wiped out after this little girls birthday bash. We had so much fun at Rylee's 2nd birthday. She had a bouncy house, cake, and really cool goodie bags. I love seeing her face light up and get so excited and my eyes welled up with tears when we sang Happy Birthday. She is getting so big and grown up. It was really neat watching her open her gifts and whisper thank you to everyone. What a great time!

Egg Hunt
Today was surprisingly chilly. We did not dress warm enough for the egg hunt, however, we did manage to have a good time. Conan picked up the concept of finding the eggs and putting them in his ever so cute frog basket my Mom sent. Elmo showed up and so did the Easter Bunny. I was a little disappointed that we did not get to have our picture taken with the bunny because he was "booked" at another show...what? the line wasn't even that long. O-well. I can't wait until Sunday! I will have more pics to post for sure.
